Born in Germany. Ten years in the United States. Fifteen in Brazil. Today, on the ground in Shanghai.
I'm a negotiator — it's the only thing I've ever been. I grew up in my family's hospitality business, where you learn to read people before you sell to them. I went on to lead as Commercial Director — 150 people and seven retail operations under me — and built import-export lines out of Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Twenty-five years across those tables taught me what no MBA can: every culture negotiates differently — the German, the Saudi, the Indian, the Chinese — and the deal goes to whoever understands that first.
